Rules

OverBuild is a public directory of sponsored listings, displayed as a city. Advertisers buy a placement; how much they pay decides how tall their building stands and where they sit on the board. That is the whole mechanic.
How a placement works
- Pick any empty plot on the map. Every plot costs the same — position is chosen, not priced.
- Give the destination you want listed and the name that appears on the map, then pay any amount from $1.
- Your placement publishes as soon as payment clears, and stays published. It does not expire.
Pricing
- Minimum $1. There is no maximum.
- All amounts are in US dollars. Taxes, where they apply, are handled by our payment provider at checkout.
- Payments are cumulative. Pay $10 today and $10 next week and your total is $20 — you are never charged for a position you already hold.
- Payments are non-refundable. Being overtaken is not a refund reason — your listing stays on the board at its new position. See the Terms.
Position on the board
- Listings are ordered by total paid, highest first.
- Where two listings have the same total, the one that reached it first ranks higher. Matching someone does not pass them.
- Building height is a function of total paid, so a taller building has paid more.
- Other listings can move above yours at any time. A rank is a live position, not a slot you own for a fixed period.
- Starting a checkout does not reserve a rank. The board can move before your payment is confirmed.
One listing per destination
We normalise every URL before checkout — scheme, www., trailing slashes and tracking parameters are all stripped. Submitting a destination that already has a listing adds to that listing rather than creating a second one. This keeps one product from appearing as several entries.
Because the destination is the identity, anyone can add to an existing listing. The name and plot are fixed by whoever created it and cannot be changed by a later payment.
That is not permission to list someone else. Only list a destination you own or are authorised to represent — listing or topping up a competitor without their authorisation is grounds for removal without a refund.
What we won't list
Gambling, trading, and adult content are refused outright. That means casinos, betting and sportsbooks, lotteries; trading, brokerage, forex, binary options, signals and copy-trading; and pornography, escort services and adult platforms. Checkout blocks these where it can recognise them, and anything that gets through is removed immediately with no refund.
- Link shorteners and redirect services — the destination must be visible.
- Anything unlawful, or requiring a licence the operator doesn't hold.
- Malware, phishing, deceptive downloads, or impersonation of another business.
- Chat and invite links — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Signal and similar.
- Names or copy that are abusive, hateful, or obscene.
- Non-
httpsdestinations, bare IP addresses, and internal hosts.
Listings publish immediately, so most of this is enforced after the fact. A listing removed for breaking these rules is removed without a refund. Where we remove a listing for our own reasons rather than yours, we review it manually.
Links
Every outbound link carries rel="sponsored nofollow noopener". These are paid placements and we label them honestly, both because search engines require it and because pretending otherwise would put the sites we list at risk. We do not sell search ranking and make no SEO claims.
What you are buying
A placement on this directory, and nothing else. You are not buying property, an asset, a security, a share of anything, or a chance at a prize. Nothing here can be sold, transferred, redeemed or cashed out. There is no element of chance — what you pay determines what you get, every time.
Changes
We may change these rules as the product changes. Placements already bought keep the terms they were bought under. Material changes will be noted by the date at the top of this page.
